What are your goals for EDU271? Based on the Technology Skills Survey and the modules in the course, what do you want to accomplish? Specifically, what do you want to learn? How? Why? Make sure that your goals are written so that you can measure whether they were met at the end of the course. Having your end goals in mind will help you develop an action plan for meeting those goals.
-I want to learn how to utilize technology in a way that makes learning meaningful for all, not just doing the same work in a different format. Even if I just learn one tool to put in my toolbox, I will consider it beneficial.
-I want to learn some technological format that can be utilized by ALL students. Most of the stuff I have learned about so far at work and other classes is based on the assumption that everyone has a cell phone, iPod, and computer with the internet. Everyone does not. All this means is that I need to pick up a tool that can be used in my class with my one computer. It would be beneficial if I found one idea that could be used in my content area.
-I want to learn to utilize technology in a way that increases student achievement where it "counts": test scores. If my students do better on their EOC's than they did last year in even one area in the NCSCOS, I'll consider it a success.
